  What happens if you turn off the Display->antialiasing checkbox
and then use Snapshot again? Its possible that ATI's new drivers
don't work entirely correctly in that regard, and since its reporting
6-samples per pixel, that uses a LOT of video memory. Give that a shot
and let me know if you get any different behavior. If you have a chance,
you might also try an another run of their 'fglrxconfig' utility with
less agressive performance options to see if that cures the corrupted
snapshot renderings you're getting. The FireGL X1 I've tested with here
worked fine with older revs of the ATI drivers, but I've definitely
seen bugs in some of the newer versions on my test machine, which I've
reported to them already.
