I'm with Paul, I've been using 10.3.3 on two machines with no issues
(vmd1.8.2). Are you sure you are running the vmd copy off your
/Applications, not off any mounted .dmg?

My upgrade path has been 10.3 -> 10.3.1 -> 10.3.2 -> 10.3.3 with VMD
1.8.2 living on the HD all that time.
