The tiny letters read
" NVIDIA 3D Stereo software is the driver for use with NVIDIA 3D Certified Display products. Downloads this driver only If are not using a 3D Stereo product."

My working 45.23 driver is from below, not the one above.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/certified_winxp

For your GeforceFX card,
Uninstall 3D 45.23 driver first, and then
Try the (newest) driver from here
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_53.03
or older certified drivers from above.
