Hi,
This isn't my area of expertise, but Bob Johnson contributed a nice VMD
plugin for building carbon nanostructures including nanotubes and
graphene sheets. You will find it in: Extensions|Modeling|Nanotube Builder
Once you click on Nanotube Builder in the menu, it will open and you
should be able to type in the parameters you want and have it generate
the structure for you. Once it is created, you would need to save the
structure to a file either using atom selections or the File|Save Coordinates
menu item.
Cheers,
John Stone
