Hi,
At the moment, the state of MacOS support for the spacenavigator is
roughly the same as it was, with the added complication that the new
versions of MacOS X have changed a few things that affect VMD. It is
still on my TODO list, but I don't have an ETA prediction for you due
to all of the other things that are currently higher priority. I would
indeed like to have it supported on MacOS X as it is a very useful input
device.

Cheers,
  John Stone
