Hi,
  Unless you have a PowerPC processor, there is no way that is going to work.
Also, the errors you're getting with the configure script seem to indicate
that you may not have Perl installed? How are you running the configure script
when you run it? I've never seen the kind of errors you're getting so it
would be useful to know exactly what command you are typing when you run
the configure script.
