Hi,
The kCGError messages are related to the MacOS X Aqua windowing
system and have nothing to do with Tachyon. The issue you're having
with Tachyon could be caused by a number of things going on, either
causing your system to begin paging and running out of memory, or
various other possibilities. I think that in order to determine
what's going wrong, I will need you to send me (or post on the web or
on biocore) a tar.gz file containing your structure files and the
VMD saved state that will reproduce the surface representation you're
using that is giving problems. Once I have the same structure file
and graphical representations I should be able to determine what may
be happening here.

Cheers,
