Hi,
  From the information you've given below, it seems to me you're
having problems due to a conflicting DLL. Can you check to see if
you have any Tcl/Tk DLLs on your system besides those included with
VMD? A number of people have recently encountered problems caused by
other software packages that incorrectly install their Tcl/Tk libraries
into the global search path, overriding the locally installed libraries
used by VMD. Check for these like this and let me know what you find:
  cd c:\
  dir /s *tcl*.dll
  cd e:\
  dir /s *tcl*.dll

Let me know what you find.
