Dear VMD-L,
  For those of you interested in testing a beta version of
VMD 1.8.1, I have posted pre-built test binaries for all platforms
except MacOS X. If you want to give it a try and send us feedback
on the test version, the binaries can be downloaded here:
  ftp://ftp.ks.uiuc.edu/pub/mdscope/vmd/alpha/

I expect to make another new set of test binaries including a
couple of MacOS X builds soon, they'll likely be posted in the
same place. If you find any new or old bugs, please report them to us.
