Hi,
  Send me (no need to CC VMD-L) a screen capture of the VMD text console
window when the crash occurs, so I can see how far VMD was into the startup
phase when you have the problem. I'm currently at a conference in Canada
and won't be back in Illinois until Friday, but I'll take a look as soon
as I return.
