  Though I'm sure you attempted to get the correct plugin, the error message
clearly indicates an attempt to load a 64-bit plugin .so file into a 32-bit
VMD binary:

> class: ELFCLASS64

As soon as I have a test version with pre-built Desmond plugins, I'll
send a note.
