Dear Yongmei,
  Try running VMD with the command below and tell me what it says:
     vmd -dispdev text
You may also want to try using the 32-bit version instead. The 32-bit
version also has a few more features enabled than the 64-bit version.
Let me know if you still have trouble with that version.
