Hi,
You didn't say anything about what video card you're using,
but this is a critically important detail. Make sure that you're
running up-to-date video drivers. If you've done that and you still
perceive it to be "slow", please send us the startup messages that
VMD prints when you run it, as they will tell us much useful information
about your system.
