Hi,
  For those interested in testing the newest VMD, here are the
big things we've changed since beta 2:
 - newer AMBER 7, and AMBER 4/5/6 file readers (including bond fix today)
 - an updated version of psfgen
 - Raster3D export fix (today)
 - New command line file loading options "-f" and "-m" that work with all
   of the VMD plugin file readers.
 - New AutoIMD plugin
 - Significant Python updates
 - Updated support glReadVideoPixels() extension
 - MacOS X window resize "snow" fixed (bundle not built yet, but soon)

Please give these new binaries a try:

If you have any problems to report, please let us know ASAP
as we are now getting very close to releasing VMD 1.8.
Every bit of feedback we get in the next 10 days helps.

Thanks,
  John Stone
