Hi,
What OS are you running? I guess you are running Windows. In this case the
manual says: "POV-Ray 3.6 requires that you check the "No restrictions"
for reading writing files option, and disable the "single instance" option
in the POV-Ray graphical interface so that VMD can execute POV-Ray
automatically."
