Interesting. I can't reproduce this on my MacBook Pro (VMD 1.8.6,
Intel Dual Core 2.2GHz, Os X 10.4.10, purchased in July): started
terminal, ran top to keep it busy, then started VMD, loaded structure
via Web ... no problem there.
