  Dear VMD users,

  I am trying to get VMD (1.7.1) working with our CAVE installation.
  This is under SGI Irix 6.5, R12000 (IP35). The hardware we have here
  is not listed in the .vmdsensors file, so I suspect this is the source
  of the problem, but I might be wrong. Basically I do not know, what
  should I try, so any help is appreciated.

  The tracking and input system:
    * Ascension "Flock of Birds" tracker
    * Fakespace workwand
    * Fakespace pinch gloves

  The software:
    trackerd version 5.0

  The command:
    locally: vmd -dispdev cave
    remote display: vmd -dispdev caveforms -display $DISPLAY

  The symptoms:
  If the tracker daemon software is not running, VMD crashes immediately.
  If the trackerd is running, VMD initializes the CAVE system (which
  gets blank), and starts up to the point of reading the .vmdsensors
  file, then it writes out the screen resolution and hangs. The menus
  do not appear, and it also do not respond on the commandline.

  I am looking forward for any hints.
