Hi John,

Thanks for the quik reply. vmd -dispdev text gives an illegal instruction
error:

vmd -dispdev text

Info) vmd for LINUX, version 1.7.1 (December 23, 2001)

Illegal instruction

I have un-installed and re-installed tcl with no luck. I have also tried
switching to vmd-1.7.1.bin.LINUX.opengl.tar.gz in combination with the Xig
xserver demo and get the same result. My system is a K6-2 500MHz with 384M
of ram running rh7.3 with a 2.4.18 kernel, patched to support win4lin and
make the XFree drm suport a module to limit interference with the Xig module.

Thanks again.
