Hi,
  You should be able to download and install the standard 32-bit version
of VMD on your Windows XP x64 machine. The new VMD 1.8.6 release uses a
new version of InstallShield which should work fine for the 64-bit
versions of Windows (unlike past versions). Let us know if you need help
with this. We don't have a 64-bit version of VMD for Windows quite yet as
VMD depends on some libraries which aren't running in 64-bit mode on Windows
yet, but hopefully we'll have a 64-bit port of VMD for windows in the next
version or soon thereafter.
