Hi,
  It might help the NVidia guys fix some of the recent
bugs in their drivers if VMD users that recently encountered
problems with the 1.0-8756 Linux drivers (and others) reported
them to NVidia on their web site:

I've just sent them updated information that relates to
three of the driver bugs I'm already aware of that affect VMD:

  http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=70393 (8756 shader err)
  http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=70279 (8756 texture bug)

The main thing that others could contribute are VMD startup warning
messages on cards other than the 6800/7800, and additional
nvidia-bug-report.log output files (generated by their nvidia-bug-report.sh
script).
