Hi all!!!

Normally VMD is a nice program to install and run...
However, when your installation does not run, you should check for:

VMD for linux uses "xterm" (I think) for the console, if you dont have xterm
installed, you will have problems...

Do you have all the OpenGL extensions installed???
Run "glxinfo" and if you have openGL extensions missing, you will see the
error messages there...

if the two above are not giving you problem, maybe you should check:
Do you have very strange OS??? an exotic graphics card???
