Hi,
  Are you runnning the 64-bit version of VMD on this
machine, or the 32-bit version? I'm not sure what would
cause the X error you're getting, could be any number of things.
Can you tell if the error is the result of manipulating the VMD
graphics window, or is it related to one of the VMD GUI windows,
or one of the VMD Extension windows? If you can track down what
window interactions(s) cause the error I might be able to determine
what's going on. Which X server are you running on your FC4 box?
