Hi,
  The plugin directory is found inside the VMD installation area,
typically in /usr/local/lib/vmd/plugins. The .vmdrc file mentioned
in the help page would normally be created in your home directory by
copying /usr/local/lib/vmd/.vmdrc to your home directory.
