Dear Sunita:

You can also sample more frequently to include more frames on you animation,
but more frames means a bigger mpeg...
If you have access to a graphics package like corel, you could edit your mpeg
file there to have a slower time by frame duration.
If you dont have access to a graphics package, I can do that for you, just
send it to me your animation in a mail.

Regards,

Luis

mpeg movies (usually) have a fixed frame rate (24 (movie), 25 (PAL-TV),
or 30 (NTSC-TV) frames per second), which does not allow you - unlike
with GIF animations - to use some arbitrary delay.

so you either need a movie mplayer, that allows you to play the
mpeg movie in 'slow-motion' or you need to provide the same frame
multiple (2-4) times (a technique commonly used in stop-motion
animation to cut down the costs). this will make the animation
slower, but also somewhat jumpy. please see the attached patch for
a (not very efficient) way of modifying the vmdmovie.tcl script to
do that. ideally, you would render each of the multiple frames only
once and then provide it multiple times to the compression program,
or even better, you'd 'create' the intermediate frames by interpolation.
