  While not presently implemented, it would not be difficult to
add such a capability if it were deemed generally useful.
In particular, one would need some scaling factor since the data
fields are not bound to particular value ranges. At the very least I
suppose one would have controls to set min/max/scaling for this effect
similar to the min/max range mapping for colors found in the trajectory
tab presently. As usual, finding space for the GUI controls for this
would be the main issue in adding such a feature. The NewRibbons
representation could be modified in a straightforward way to accomodate
such a feature.
