Hi,

thank you for the suggestion.

Now I realize that I actually DID manage to force the X11 screen to use
different DPI before. I can even confirm the different X11 server DPI
value in the nvidia drivers settings.

The problem is that no matter what method I use to do it, it is not
having any effect *whatsover*. That's why I did not even know I managed it.

No matter what DPI I set, everything (including VMD) look absolutely the
same. The X11 window text is not any larger or smaller.

Unfortunately, it seems that setting X11 screen DPI has no concomitant
effect on font sizes :-(

Theoretically, I could be running my LCD in lower, blurry, non-native
resolution to get bigger fonts. However, I'd prefer not to, unless there is absolutely no other way.

I really do not know what else to try. For the first time, I may have
exhausted google search options on the subject :-(

Regards,

Miroslav Krepl
