Hi Sam,
  Can you email me (no need to send to all of VMD-L) a copy of the
file you've got that isn't loading correctly in VMD 1.8.2? I don't believe we
made any changes that we'd expect to affect that, but if you send me a copy
of the file we'll take a look and see what's happening there.
