For tachyon:

Change the line
/usr/local/lib/vmd/tachyon_LINUXAMD64" -aasamples 12 %s -format TARGA -o
%s.tga

to

/usr/local/lib/vmd/tachyon_LINUXAMD64" -aasamples 12 %s -format TARGA -o
%s.tga -res X Y

Where X and Y are the sizes of each of the dimensions...

Best,
Jesper

You can add size parameters to the render command or manually edit the
generated "render" files (povray, tachyon...).

When you use povray for example:
povray +W%w +H%h -I%s -O%s.tga +D +X +A +FT

Substitute %w and %h with values of your choice in the VMD render dialog.

Cheers,
Bjoern
