Thanks a lot for the help
But I have problem installing the new version in Linux ubuntu 10.10

I extract the files in my "home_folder/user_name/VMD"
I accept the default installation Directory
Then I run "./configure" which outputs "LINUX OPENGL FLTK TK ACTC CUDA IMD
LIBSBALL XINERAMA XINPUT LIBTACHYON VRPN NETCDF TCL PTHREADS SILENT"
and seems OK

Then I go to the src directory and run "make install" which outputs
"Info: /bin/csh shell not found, installing Bourne shell startup script
instead
Make sure /usr/local/bin/vmd is in your path.
VMD installation complete. Enjoy!"

And seems really different from the thing I have seen before in windows.?

And when I add the /usr/local/bin/vmd to the path and run VMD I get the
error : "exec: 479: /usr/local/lib/vmd/vmd_LINUX: not found"

any help is appreciated
