Ian,
Regarding your problem below, if you compile with the LIBSBALL flag
enabled, you must also have the spaceball library compiled and in the
VMD vmd/lib/ area. This is true for other library dependencies as well.
In principle you do not need to compile with the LIBSBALL flag unless
you use one of the old RS-232 based Spaceball devices with your Mac.
