Hi,
  At the present time, NVIDIA only supports quad-buffered stereo
(as is needed for VMD and similar apps) on their Quadro line of GPUs.
The GeForce GPUs are only supported for full-screen stereo gaming
with OpenGL, windowed display modes such as are used by VMD require
Quadro GPUs.
