it _does_ have OpenGL, but probably not with hardware
acceleration. all recent linux distributions contain
emulated OpenGL via the Mesa library.

one of the linux versions, of course. which one depends
on whether you run the 64-bit version of the OS or the
32-bit version. just run the command 'uname -m'. if it
says 'i686' you need the regular Linux OpenGL version,
if it says 'x86_64' you need the Linux AMD64 OpenGL version.
