Is it possible to make the color dependent on position, e.g. gradient
along any axis?
When I try to visualize a simple C100 polymer chain in entangled state,
it is difficult to distinguish the folds and turns since all C atoms are
in same color (CPK mode). It would be nice to have a space dependent
gradient in color. Even a gradient in a particular axis (say, along z
axis) would be fine.
Any ideas?

Suman Chakrabarty.
