  We got your note.
In order to post to the VMD-L mailing list, you must be subscribed,
and you must post to the mailing list from the email address that
you're subscribed under. Any messages sent from addresses that
aren't subscribed are silently dropped.

We do this to prevent spammers from taking over the mailing list.
I've got a folder with over 7,000 bounced spams that were blocked
from VMD-L just in the last month... I used to manually moderate
the bounced posts, but the spammers have gotten so vigorous that
I can't even manually moderate the rejected postings from
non-subscribers anymore. This is described on the VMD-L mailing
list web page instructions, but I thought it was useful to
reply and reaffirm this policy since you were having trouble.
