hi,

I'm trying to run vmd 1.7.1 on hpux with -dispdev text set, but id does
not seem to work.

the output is

Error: Can't open display:
Error: Couldn't find per display information
[1] 14602
[1] Exit 1 exec xterm -T vmd console -geometry 80x

i thought it might have been something to do with a unset DISPLAY
environment variable, so I sat it to b309-79:0.0 where b309-79 is my
hostname, but that didn't work either.
so now I'm stuck (again).

any help would be much appreciated.
