Salsa and Merengue Classes
DJ and Dancing
Join the first salsa and merengue lessons in town and learn
the fun of latin dancing from the roots (this is our last
semester!).
First class is FREE, this August 31st. Come and have fun with us!
No previous experience or partner needed. We will learn mainly
salsa and merengue, but also we'll try out other dances like cumbia,
meneito, lambada, vallenato, cannandonga and carrapicho.
You can register for beginning, intermediate, or advanced level. The
beginning level is for those without previous dancing experience and
the class will be focused in teaching the basic steps and turns, how
to identify and move to the beat, posture and style, basic footwork,
and the basic principles of leading (and following, of course!).
The intermediate level is designed for those who have
taken dancing classes before and want to improve their skills and
learn more about spins, turns, advanced footwork, style and
leading.
The advanced level will concentrate on group dancing and rueda
steps.
Every Tuesday at
August 31st to October 5th: Beginning level........ 7pm to 8pm
Intermediate level..... 8pm to 9pm
Advanced level......... 9pm to 10pm
SALSA DJ/Open dancing.. 10pm to 1am
Registration cost: Only $30 for 6 weeks. Including I-SALSA pass.
With the I-SALSA pass, you get $1 off cover every Tuesday from
10pm to 1am to dance salsa at Mabel's. Cover is otherwise $2.

Wright in front of the Co-Ed theaters.
