A REMINDER:
Fred & Yermen Romero, highly regarded tango instructors from Chicago, will be
giving the following tango workshops in the dance salon of Phillips
Recreation Center this Saturday:
(1) 5 - 6: 30 PM: Men's & Women's Workshops
Simultaneous segregated by gender workshops concentrating on men's and
women's roles in tango and general techniques for leading and following.
All levels of dancers welcome
(2) 6:45 - 8:15 PM: Salon style tango
The elegant adorned style of tango danced to slower and more dramatic music.
A set of related salon style patterns will be taught and their placement
within the flow of the dance (prior and subsequent steps, line-of-dance) will
be addressed, as well as effective techniques of leading and following.
Pre-requisite: a basic tango course or the equivalent expertise
Cost: $20 ($15 for students) for 1 workshop, $35 ($25 for students) for 2
workshops
Location: Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W Stoughton, Urbana
(at Springfield & McCullough, 1 block west of Strawberry Fields)
Parking available in the lot west of the Phillips Center
