Raman, Pratik, and Norman make good suggestions. Just for reference, I just tested a 60k-atom system on an 8-core i7-9700 at 3 GHz. I get about 0.3 days/ns. So I don’t think your numbers are going to be dramatically improved with the current system, not without buying a GPU and running NAMD3 at least!

Glancing at your log, I noticed that your system is not neutral. This is formally incorrect when using PME, although it will run without error.

> You mentioned VM so I assume you are using something like VMWare or Virtual box on Win 10. VM is usually slower. Instead of VM, try WSL or WSL2 in Win 10 if migration to Linux is not possible (the only pain for a Windows user is there is no GUI in WSL yet). It gives performance almost comparable to native Linux (the performance is only 5-10% lower in WSL under worst cases)
