well "didn't work" is a quite poor descritption of your problem.
What hardware does the nodes have? (cat /proc/cpuinfo)
What network does it have? (Ethernet,Infiniband)
What have you tried and what was the output?

if you have multiple nodes try TCP else single node, multiprocessor one
should be fine.

Recently we have got access to Linux based HPC cluster having 512 nodes.
Which build of NAMD to use and how to make it work. I tried the Intel/AMD 64
bit version, didn't work.
