Hola tangueros!

You can still hear the wail of the bandoneon as it transmits waves of emotion
to your spine. You can still feel the close connection with your partner as
you move gracefully across the hardwood floor. Your heart is beating fast and
your breathing expresses your abandonment to the passion of tango. This is
what you experienced at the last milonga. (If you weren't there, you
definitely need to experience this!) Some time has passed and you're feeling
that desire again, the need to join together man, woman, music, and dance
floor into a harmonious tango union. Do not dismay. The next milonga is
coming soon.

The next milonga at the Phillips Recreation Center is on Saturday March 4th
from 8-11 PM. We have the honor of having our special guests and professional
tango instructors Alberto Paz and Valorie Hart from Planet Tango in
Sunnyvale, CA present at the milonga. A flyer announcing the milonga is
attached as a Word 97 file. Make copies of this flyer and distribute them to
other current, past, and future tangueros.

If you have been a closet tanguero, now is the time to come out of the closet
and dance at the milonga. You will be among like-minded accepting people who
understandand and share your dance orientation.

If you lack confidence in your ability to dance, recognize that none of us
will be recruited for the cast of Forever Tango anytime soon. Also note that
you have the opportunity to improve your tango (and perhaps qualify for the
next try-outs for the cast of Forever Tango) over the next week or so. As you
already know, Alberto Paz and Valorie Hart are offering numerous workshops in
Argentine tango at the White Street Arts Center (For details, see our website
at: http://www.prairienet.org/white-street/tango.html.) There will be 10
workshops (a total of 20 hours) before the next milonga. Add to this 2 hours
for the Sunday night (Feb 27) practica, the 1/2 hr tango interlude before
salsa at the Regent on Fri (Mar 3) and the 2 hour tango lesson with Tom 'El
Tigre' Ronquillo in Bloomington Saturday morning (Mar 4), and you will have
24.5 hours additional tango experience before the milonga. Just think what
can develop with this level of participation. You will definitely need to
express your new found abilities at the milonga!

We will see you at the next milonga.
