Schedule for Argentine Tango workshops with Alberto and Valorie

Dear Tango dancers,

The schedule is finally set for Alberto and Valorie's Argentine Tango
workshops at White Street Arts Center. We've decided to spread the
workshops over two weekends. Alberto wanted to allow ample time, breathing
room, and choices for the participants.

I am listing the workshops below. But a better and more detailed
presentation is available at:
http://www.prairienet.org/white-street/alberto.workshop.html

COSTS
:::::::

All workshops are two hours, and cost $25 at the door.

Take advantage of the lower rates for advance enrollment (see end of this
message).

A printable registration form, which you can mail with your check, is at
http://www.prairienet.org/white-street/alberto-regform.html

Or contact me directly by phone (328-1008) or email
(white-street@prairienet.org) and I will send you a form.

IMPORTANT: Payment for advance enrollment must be received by Feb 25.

Private Lessons are $65/hour (for an individual or couple) and availability
is very limited, so contact me right way if you want to reserve a private
lesson.

WHAT TO CHOOSE?
:::::::::::::::

Since there are so many workshops, feel free to email me if you have
questions about what to take.

I have three general recommendations:

(1) If you are seriously studying tango, you should consider the series of
four workshops on Salon Floorcraft. Note that there are two levels, "a" and
"b".

The "completion" of the Salon Floorcraft series is a fifth class
"Triangulation Concepts for Stationary Figures". Despite the abstruse
title, it is where a lot of real fun will come from, with ganchos, sacadas,
enrosques, voleos, etc. So don't overlook it. (But don't make it your only
workshop either.)

(2) Two workshops are designed for first-time Argentine Tango dancers:
"Dance Tango Tonight" and "Introduction to Tango Salon". Even experienced
dancers can learn a lot from these two workshops, but I want to be clear
about how they are geared.

(3) Women should check out Valorie's class for women, "Tango Barre".

So get ready, this is going to be great! After seeing the final plan
Alberto said that if he wasn't busy teaching, he would like to take these
workshops himself. :-)

Joe
