Hello fellow dancers:
All dancers are invited to Purdue University's Hustle & Swing Festival to
be held on Sept. 18th, 1999. Beginning at 4:00 pm we will have 3 hustle
lessons taught by Greg Underwood from Cincinnati. Then we are having a
dance and nightclub competition, including a cashpot Jack & Jill, until
midnight.
SATURDAY SEPT 18th
4:00 - 5:15 beginner hustle
5:30 - 6:30 intermediate hustle
6:45 - 7:45 advanced hustle
cost $10 for 1 lesson, $15 for 2 lessons, $20 for all 3
8:00 - 9:00 competitior warm-up (dinner break!)
9:00 - 9:30 open dancing - we'll play your CD's if you bring them
dance music will be a mix of Lindy, east and west coast,
hustle, cha cha, salsa
9:30 - 10:00 mini competition - 5 events, cost $2 per person to enter as
many events as you want!
1. Lindy (aerials at your own risk)
2. West coast
3. Hustl4
4. Renegade (you pick your partner, we pick the music)
5. Same sex cha cha
10:00 - 10:30 Open dancing
10:30 - 10:45 $Jack & Jill$ swing - cost $3 to enter, winners take all
10:45 - 12:00 open dancing
No partner, experience, or advance registration required. Just come!!
