I'm not sure what Jennifer's describing, but what Scott is talking
about is "CeRoc," sometimes called "LeRoc." (CeRoc is a trade name,
which you can only use if you pay the owners a fee, but you can
teach it under LeRoc for free.)
I've seen it danced once, and it looks like a lot of fun and a great
way for new dancers to get their feet wet. Unfortunately, I don't
think anyone around here teaches it.
