SOC: Belgian Rock

Ok, so I was visiting some friends and met two guys from Belgium and one
from the Netherlands, all of whom are fantastic dancers and dance this
thing called Belgian Rock to Glen Miller type music. It looks a lot like
what I THOUGHT was called "swing". However, since being with the Dancing
Illini, I've seen folks doing a swing that's totally different, and makes
me think I mis-named it.

So, I have a couple of questions. 1) Does anyone know what I'm talking
about? Am I thinking of the jitter-bug? But this dance isn't as bouncy
as I remember the jitter-bug...it actually looks a lot like salsa, but to
the Glen Miller beat.

Has anyone ever heard of Belgian Rock, or is that just what the Belgians
call it? These guys said literally everyone in the 20's and 30's crowd
does this, and many people have actually set up dance halls in their
basements etc. to facilitate it, since the bars don't play it. Sounds
like our kind of people, doesn't it?

When can we do it? Is there room in our repetoire? :)
