** The Dancing Illini officers are desperately searching for the DI Banner **
This is a large (over 5 feet long) cloth banner that depicts our club
name in multi-colored letters and a pair of dancers. It is generally stored
rolled up and encased in a blue cloth bag. A lot of time and effort
went into the making of the DI banner, we are _urgently_ asking for all
DI members to aid in the search.
We know that the DI Banner was taken to the Notre Dame Competition, on
March 30, 1996. The following is a list of persons known to have ridden
in the van to Notre Dame:
Oleg, Dima, Sheila, Michelle, Cory, Michelle, Andrew, Lara, Amy B.,
Tanja, Scott, Dereck, and Minh.
My questions are: Who was in charge of the banner that day?
Who took it out of the van that night?
Did anyone not listed above go to the Notre Dame Competition?
Does ANYONE remember seeing the banner after March 30th?
A preliminary search has revealed that the following people do NOT have
the banner:
Ruth Anne, Tania Banak, Amy B., Mark B., Sheena, Cory, Andrew, Lara
David Lin, or Bruce.
The loss of this banner is inexcusable. I'm asking every DI member that
went to Notre Dame to search for the banner at their home or office. If
you have already looked for it, please take the time to look again!
I'm also asking the entire DI membership to please contact me if you have
_any_ information that would aid us in the search. Please e-mail me,

Hopefully, we can find this important piece of club property in time to
proclaim our pride at Quad Day, next week.
