as for the hardware, you want one or more nvidia GPUs,
preferably GTX 285 or GTX 260 (please note that the GTX 295
is effectively two GTX 260 glued together) and a multi-core
CPU with high memory bandwidth (e.g. intel core i7) and
multiple 16-lane PCIe bus. this is not very NAMD specific,
so i suggest to look into the CUDA forums on the nvidia
homepage for more details.
