namddat syntax error

Hello people!!!

I want to extract the TEMP from the log file to monitor the temperature
flucuations . I read a suitable way for it is using "namddat". I
downloaded it from

http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/namd/utilities/namddat.
When I used the script in cygwin,

(chmod 755 namddat
./namddat TEMP file.log)

I got the following output.

ETITLE: TS BOND ANGLE DIHED IMPRP ELECT VDW BOUNDARY MISC KINETIC
TOTAL TEMP TOTAL2 TOTAL3 TEMPAVG PRESSURE GPRESSURE VOLUME PRESSAVG
GPRESSAVG
Calculating average of TEMP
set: Syntax Error

So there is no data.dat formed. Can anyone help me with this problem?
