Event: Second Annual Dancing Illini Intercollegiate Social

Dear dancers,

The Dancing Illini would like to invite you and your friends to the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on April 4-5th. We are
hosting a social event to provide a day for dancers from various
colleges and universities to meet, dance, and have fun without the
competitive, stressful atmosphere of a competition (We do that one in
October... :-)).

To encourage your club to attend, we have booked Kathryn Schaffer,
the former North American and US Professional Ballroom Champion,
to teach two afternoon dance workshops at no cost to you!
That's right, they are FREE. And once you've been energized by a
couple of workshops, we'll be having a 3 hour social dance! This is an
event with no entry fees, no costumes, no numbers, no safety pins, no
teams, and no routines--just a large group of dancers from various
schools out to have fun and DANCE! So come out and meet new dance
friends over lunch, learn Waltz and Cha Cha figures and technique tips
from a champion instructor, meet more dance friends over dinner, and
cap off the event with a great social dance!
