===================================
Coming to Champaign-Urbana for the first time is this course devoted
exclusively to the exciting, rhythmic dance that is the predecessor of the
tango - the milonga. After tango, milonga is the dance danced most at the
milongas. It is a happy, refreshing dance that is uplifting and enjoyable.
Any serious tanguero should also be skilled in dancing milonga.
Reasons for taking this course:
- You don't know milonga and would like to be able to dance it socially.
- You want to expand your repertoire of milonga patterns.
- You know some milonga steps, but
- you want to improve your ability to dance a varied, interesting and
improvised dance
- you want to improve your connection with the rhythm
- you want to improve you techniques of leading and following
- You are competent in milonga but you seek a review and any new knowledge
you can acquire (after all, every instructor has their own knowledge to
communicate).
Susana and I hope to see you there.
