For all of you who had missed Andrew's and Michele's class in Latin
Technique, let me tell you that Andrew gave us two cool variations in the
Forward and Back Basic Movements in International cha-cha. They are the
Ronde Chasse and the Hip Twist Chasse. They are quite challenging to do
but it will look exciting on the dance floor in the Dancing Illini
competition. Here is the breakdown of those variations I recalled from
    Andrew:

The Ronde Chasse (for the leader)

(Can replace the usual 1-5 of Forward Basic Movement)

    l. Forward LF ("2")
    2. Back RF (a rock-step in place), and as soon as the RF has weight, start
doing a ronde on LF from outside to inside (the ronde will happen on
the second half of 3) ("3 (and)")
    3. End the ronde by putting the LF behind RF ("4")
    4. A slight step back on RF, closing it with LF ("and")
    5. Side LF, strong step ("1")

The Hip Twist Chasse (for the follower)

(Can replace the hip twist that usually happens on the second half of
step 5 in steps 1-5 of Back Basic Movement)

    1. Back RF ("2")
    2. Check forward on LF ("3")
    3. Forward RF, curving about 1/8 to L ("4")
    4. Twisting on R hip, forward LF to close with RF with a 1/4 turn to R
(the hip twist is the turn itself), doing a slight swivel (to R)
on LF in response to the twist ("and")
    5. Forward RF ("1")
